The El Cid Residence
Before there was Laswell, there was a house on El Cid—
where we learned that people don’t just book homes… they step into stories.
Set in Vista Norte, this 3-bedroom 1970s home became our first experiment in experience-driven hospitality. Not just a place to stay—but a place to feel something.
There was a lemonade stand by the pool, a subtle nod to the kind of effortless luxury you’d find at Parker Palm Springs.
Each bedroom was named after iconic Palm Springs resorts—quietly connecting guests to the city’s layered history.
Amenities were curated, not provided. Moments were designed, not left to chance.
Even the story behind the home found its way into the experience—
its early owners, a blend of pickle business pragmatism and vaudeville-era performance, echoed in the playful, slightly theatrical spirit of the space.
And it worked.
Guests didn’t just stay—they photographed, shared, and returned.
The home became a backdrop for celebration, connection, and discovery.
That a home can be:
Not because of its pedigree—
but because of how it’s imagined.
Today, Canary House builds on that foundation.
We partner with brands, creators, and homeowners to transform properties into experiential showcases—homes that don’t just live on a street, but live across platforms, audiences, and moments.
Whether you’re:
We create places people want to step into—and share.
